What happens when two girls with big dreams, strong opinions and a healthy dose of madness decide to go their own way? The answer is Bobbysocks!
“La det swinge” tells the story of the journey from a grey, humdrum Norwegian everyday life to glitter, glamour and international acclaim. It’s a story of setbacks, doubts, friendship, ambition and the willingness to risk everything – even when nobody believes it’s possible.
It’s the story of how Norway went from a string of Eurovision failures to victory in 1985, when Hanne Krogh and Elisabeth “Bettan” Andreassen took home the top prize in Gothenburg.
Taking on the two leading roles are Vivild Falk Berg (“Pørni”, “Nepobaby”) and Swedish actress Carla Sehn (“The Åre Murders”), who will portray Krogh and Andreassen, respectively. The cast also includes Jon Øigarden, Linn Skåber, Kåre Conradi and Henrik Dorsin. In addition, Donkeyboy vocalist Linnea Dale will portray Anita Skorgan.
Per-Olav Sørensen (“Home for Christmas”, “The Playlist”, “The Heavy Water War”) is directing and has co-written the screenplay with Mads Løken.
Randin Kummeneje will portray Jahn Teigen, while Brede Fristad takes on the role of songwriter Rolf Løvland, the man behind “La det swinge”.
Axel Bøyum, currently appearing in “Rinnan”, will play NRK producer Odd Arvid Strømstad, while Sofia Tjelta Sydness, currently appearing in “LIS”, has been cast as Mia Gundersen.
Premiere: Currently scheduled for the second quarter of 2027.
